Every successful business starts with just one person and one idea. However, people and ideas do not guarantee success - research shows that only 20% of new businesses will succeed.
In 2005 five Wellington-based innovation partners came together to implement a radical new strategy to increase the survival rate and effectiveness of new business ideas. The strategy was based around a cooperative approach to innovation support and involved local innovators working collaboratively on joint projects.
Since that time we have worked hard to develop a suite of initiatives that celebrate and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. These projects have included...
- Global Entrepreneurship Week New Zealand
- Cable Car Challenge Business Plan Competition
- Workshops featuring internationally renowned speakers
- Innovation and entrepreneurship projects for Wellington City Council.
For more information on these initiatives see our Projects page.
